The Seminoles are heading back to the Sweet 16 after defeating the No. 5 seed Colorado Buffaloes 71-53 on Monday night. The two teams went back and forth in the first half, but the Seminoles pulled away in the second with a 47-point half.
Florida State got an excellent performance from Anthony Polite, who scored a career-high 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field. Polite also shot 4-of-7 from behind the arc. He carried the offensive workload for the Seminoles as Walker (7) and Raiquan Gray (9) were both held under 10 points. Defensively, the Seminoles held the Buffs to only 35.7% shooting from the field and 24% from three-point range.

The Wolverines survived a first half scare from the No. 8 seed LSU Tigers to win 86-78 on Monday night to advance. The Wolverines will be going back to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2019.
Michigan had four players score in double figures led by Eli Brooks and Chaundee Brown, who had 21 points a piece. Brown’s 21 points off the bench gave the Wolverines a huge lift and was a difference maker on Monday. Franz Wagner had 15 points and seven rebounds, while Hunter Dickinson recorded a double-double consisting of 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The Wolverines shot 53.8% from the field and 40% from three-point range. Michigan held LSU to 39.1% shooting from the field and 28.6% from behind the arc. Cameron Thomas led the Tigers with 30 points.
