Opposing rallies battle with mace, paint balls and rocks near Justice Center in downtown Portland

An event with the stated goal of “saying no to Marxism,” has been organized at Terry Schrunk Plaza by local far-right organizers with ties to fascist groups and has already drawn multiple plans for counter-protests from left-wing and anti-fascist groups. A counter-protest is slated to begin at 11:30 a.m. before the planned noon start of the right-wing rally.
