Tulsa police released body cam footage showing an officer rushing to help a fallen suspect he was just chasing.

The Tulsa Police Department released body cam video earlier this month showing an ironic situation play out on the morning of April 30 when the suspect found himself being helped by an officer and the officer found himself helping the suspect he was pursing rather than harming him with an arrest.

When it was all said and done, no criminal charges were filed against anyone seen in the video.

It happened after police were called about someone allegedly pointing a weapon and shooting it with the intent to kill near 31st and Sheridan in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Police located a suspect near Interstate 244.

That's when they say 23-year-old Damico Taylor of Sand Springs accelerated westbound before a brief chase began.

It ended less than a minute later after Taylor's vehicle collided with a barrier on the north leg of the Inner Dispersal Loop, according to police.

Taylor exited his vehicle then attempted to flee police by crossing the barrier wall of the bridge or elevated roadway.

From there, with a gun pointed at him, he attempted escape over the wall then fell more than 30 feet to the ground below.

Taylor was then taken to the hospital and admitted.

Police said Taylor fractured his skull but is listed in stable condition, according to KTUL.

Officer said they recovered a loaded .40-caliber Glock 23C semiautomatic pistol from inside the vehicle.

But online records show officers did not charge Taylor with any crimes.
